Girls & Women of Arts Empowerment Project
Giving Voices Project ( GVP) is a “new play by women” development project.
The platform will empower a generation of women to write and develop a new play, as well as provide fun and accessible learning channels for young women and other under-represented groups to start telling their stories, adding to the already rich and diverse history of Indonesian performing arts
GVP is initiated as part of Fonnyta’s fundraising effort to support her study at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, UK in September 2022/2023, for which she received a scholarship.
The Project
Playwriting Workshops for Girls
The second part is about sharing the journey and learnings of playscript development as the basis of fun basic playwrighting practice for girls aged 15 to 25 years old.
The project aims in creating a fun atmosphere of playwrighting to motivate young girls to start telling their stories.
